Since 1988, getting youth outside on public lands has been at the heart of SJMA’s conservation education program. In addition to spring break camp and after-school programming, SJMA offers week-long summer camps to both elementary-aged children (rising 1st – 6th graders) and middle / high school aged kids (7th - 12th graders) to spend time exploring and learning about the San Juan mountains and rivers. Campers leave camp with memories, new friends, and a better understanding of the world in which they live.
