Purchase an extra toy for a kiddo to open on Christmas this year! 

Toys must be in new packaging, unwrapped and dropped off by December 15th.

Santa's Helpers Bayfield, Ignacio, Durango and Pagosa Facebook Group

Families send in their requests to the administrator of the Facebook group and she posts them by Family #. You can adopt them and help meet their needs. If you are not a shopper you can help with utilities by writing a check to LPEA for $X amount and meet up with Mis Mandy. Her family picks up gifts and drops them off. Gifts are received until Dec 15th. 


Toy, Food & Pet Food Drive

Help a family with food, kids with gifts and pet eat by spreading the spirit of giving thru December 14th. Drop off non perishable food, unopened and unwrapped gifts and unopened pet food. All donated toys will go to La Plata Family Centers Coalition, the “Holly Jolly Toy Drive.” (for children of all ages), all non-perishable food items will go to the Durango Food Bank, and all dog and cat food donations will go to the La Plata County Humane Society and Durango Food Bank.

The HIVE's Giving Tree

1150 Main Ave, Durango, Co 81301

From late November - December 22 the HIVE will have a tree in the lobby with families need. Families can also come in a and fill out a wish list to be placed on the tree. 

Project Durango Christmas Facebook Group

Another Facebook group where families can post their needs and people can opt to sponsor them and meet up to do an exchange of giving. To see what families are still in need click the Featured button at the top of the group to see families in need. 


Adopt a family from schools

Many times schools are in touch with families right in you child's school who know of families help so reach out to the office or the counselor and they can lead you in the right direction.
