The Community Treehouse in Bayfield, CO is a vibrant and joyful community with play spaces inside and outside for families ages 0-7! Created to help new parents - to community or to parenting - have a place to take kids to play, meet other families, access support for commonalities parents face, educate themselves, participate in age appropriate programs and make lasting relationships - The Community Treehouse is Where Heartfelt Connections Grow.
Nicole Johnson first impacted the community with her Tumbling Tots music and movement program and then had a vision of a non-profit indoor play place that strengthened community through breaking the barrier of isolation that so many new parents, especially stay at home moms face. With determination and support from the community here it is today, including:

Indoor Play Space
Inside the Treehouse there are play spaces filled with toys for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and even older kids from 5-7. There are climbing walls, sensory tables, treehouse play ground climbers and slides, pretend play, games, air hockey, dress up, swings, art materials and so much more. Nicole and the staff (many local parents) keep a great rotation and create an area that is seasonally festive as well as developmentally appropriate for a range of ages. In addition to a wonderful indoor space there is an outdoor space with a playground sandbox, bikes, gardens, picnic tables, and a jungle gym to name a few. This area is open to members typically 7 days a week from 9-5PM, unless space is reserved for birthday parties or cleaning.
Co-Working Space
The Treehouse is a unique entity for several reasons and one of them is the Parent Work Time and Co-Working Space that is provided. There are tables downstairs on the outskirts of the play space for parents to work while kids play and socialize and get comfortable with being among new friends. Then there are also 3 other spaces upstairs outside of the play area that members can sign up to use for 3 hour increments 3x a week and then the Community Treehouse provides care providers to play with kiddos while parents work! Parents are always on site and will be beckoned to come and help kiddos with potty or diaper changing or if a little is really in need of mom or dad. The Parent Work Lounge's beautiful workspaces are equipped with Wi-Fi, Keurig's, printers and a quiet space to work on whatever the member deems work. This space has transformed lives for remotely working families.
